  U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development

The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development creates opportunities for homeownership, rehabilitates and maintains the nation's affordable housing, provides housing assistance for low-income persons, helps the homeless and enforces the nation's fair housing laws. HUD also works with local communities to help them meet their development needs.

  Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs

TDHCA's services address a broad spectrum of housing and communityTDHCA development issues that include low-interest mortgage financing, emergency food or shelter, rental subsidy, energy assistance, weatherization, economic development and the provision of basic public infrastructure for small rural communities. The Department also provides titling, licensing, inspection, enforcement and customer service in connection with manufactured housing.

 National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO)

National NAHRO is the leading housing and community development advocate for the provision of adequateBack to Home Page and affordable housing and strong, viable communities for all Americans—particularly those with low and moderate incomes.  Our 16,607 members administer HUD programs such as Public Housing, Section 8, CDBG and HOME.  In all, NAHRO's members provide housing for more than 6.5 million low-income people.

  Southwest Regional NAHRO

The Regional NAHRO council operates within the geographic area of the statesclick on a state for more information of Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.  The SWNAHRO Council was formed to help the region provide adequate housing and attain sound communities through the processes of development, preservation, conservation, rehabilitation, and redevelopment.

 Texas NAHRO

The purpose of the Texas Chapter of NAHRO is to serve its membership engaged in providing persons of low and moderate income with the opportunity to live in adequate and safe housing and improving the quality of life for all within a community through development, redevelopment, conservation and rehabilitation activities.

 Texas Housing Association

THA aims to advance the development of private and public housing in Texas for low-income families; disseminate information and data to the public regarding the need for affordable housing and the encouragement of exchange of ideas between members of the Association.
