Evaluation
The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development requires that housing authorities procure an evaluation
team to study the success of their respective HOPE VI grants.
The Beaumont Housing Authority has selected the Texas A&M University Research Foundation as their evaluation team.
The evaluation project has three overarching goals:
- To evaluate the degree to which the HOPE VI effort meets the stated goals and objectives as presented in
the HOPE VI Revitalization Plan, the resident needs assessment and the Community and Supportive Services Plan.
- To measure the impact of the HOPE VI activities on residents and the Pointe North neighborhood
- To establish a monitoring system to provide ongoing feedback to BHA about necessary programmatic changes
All three of these goals are connected to the larger goal of maximizing the effectiveness of the Pointe North HOPE VI Project and future revitalization efforts.
