The Housing Authority of the City of Beaumont Hereby Announces 10-Day Public Comment Period for Amendment to 2008 Five-Year and Annual Plan

The Housing Authority of the City of Beaumont (BHA) has amended its Annual and 5-Year Plan to accommodate increased Capital Fund Program funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The deadline for submittal of written comments is 4:00pm CST on March 30, 2009.

The Plan documents will be available for inspection beginning March 20, 2009 at the BHA Central Office, located at 1890 Laurel, Beaumont, TX 77701, from 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. To facilitate public access and review of the Plan, BHA has also made the revisions available via the Internet (see link below).

The public is invited to submit written comments. Written comments should be addressed to Mr. Robert L. Reyna, Executive Director, and must be received at BHA's Central Office, 1890 Laurel, Beaumont, TX 77701, no later than 4:00pm CST on March 30, 2009. All written comments will be carefully reviewed and considered.

The Board of Commissioners will also conduct a public hearing for the public to provide verbal comments on the proposed changes. The public hearing will be held on March 31, 2009, beginning at 1:00pm CST in the Boardroom at 1890 Laurel, Beaumont, TX 77701.
