Theresa Victoria has been a scattered-sites resident since April 2004. She joined BHA’s Family Self-Sufficiency Program in 2010.

Ms. Victoria graduated from high school in 1984 and attended College of the Mainland in Galveston for a year working towards receiving her 2 year degree. For the past two years, she has been working for Hermann Memorial Baptist Hospital as a Unit Secretary and Nurse's Aide. She has received many healthcare certifications in the process of working at the hospital. She plans to enroll at Lamar Port Arthur in the fall of 2010 to receive her degree as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and advance her career within the hospital.

Ms. Victoria is the mother of three grown children and grandmother of three. She is currently raising her grandson as her daughter finishes her college studies.

Ms. Victoria is very active in the community. She serves as volunteer with Odyssey Hospice, visiting patients every Saturday and bringing baked goods to patients. She has also volunteered with Head Start and the Senior Care Center. She is actively involved in 5K events for the March of Dimes and Relay for Life. She attends Borden Chapel Baptist Church in Beaumont. Ms. Victoria enjoys cooking, trail riding, volleyball and swimming in her spare time.
